Emergency Portable Toilet hire always keeps us on our toes and this weekend was no exception. This past weekend saw euroloo react at quite possibly the fastest pace it’s ever managed when it comes to Emergency Portable Toilet Hire. Yes we’ve delivered emergency portable toilets to sites before within minutes but generally speaking these tend to be within close proximity to where our toilets and distribution vehicles are located. This most recent incident however saw us having to make our way from Chelmsford to Tottenham with far more haste than usual.
Part of the contract we were so pleased to sign with the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority had us agree to the fact that we would be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year. This was to ensure that no matter which emergency would arise, our quality emergency portable toilet facilities could be rolled out and placed in situ ready for the emergency services team to utilise whilst attending any type of protracted incident. Now consider the fact that the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority employ approximately 6,300 staff of which includes 5,300 operational firefighters within 104 fire stations, all of which operate 24 hours a day over a space of 620 square miles, it was safe to say we’d taken on a big contract. Despite every single known fire risk covered, from high rise buildings to water starved suburban locations, we were not deterred and from the very second we signed this contract, we have not disappointed.
Our most recent incident however, really did test our expertise and abilities and we’re proud to say that once again, we were able to demonstrate just why we were awarded such a significant contract. Friday 6th November in Tottenham, North London, a fire broke out within a warehouse along Pretoria Road. Despite the fire starting very late in the evening on Friday night, we still managed to get ourselves (complete with emergency portable toilet facilities) onsite within just one hour. Not only did we arrive within a very prompt time, we were also on hand all weekend to ensure the emergency portable toilets were in full working order. This allowed the emergency services team to carry on carrying out their job to the best of their abilities without any adverse affects on productivity as firefighters didn’t need to leave the incident ground in order to use sanitation facilities.
As we’ve mentioned in previous posts, productivity levels can drop severely when staff need to leave the scene of operations in order to find a toilet but in a situation such as this, the consequences are far more than just an unmet deadline.
