The Kingsmere Group is a leading construction company known for its commitment to high-quality projects and sustainable building practices. To enhance the wellbeing of their workforce while maintaining their sustainability goals, they sought an environmentally friendly welfare solution that offered comfort and practicality on-site.
The Requirement
Kingsmere Group required a welfare unit that could accommodate their team efficiently while minimising environmental impact. Traditional diesel-powered units were not in line with their sustainability objectives, prompting the need for a greener alternative that would also reduce operational costs.
The Solution
To meet these requirements, Kingsmere Group partnered with ecowelfare to install a 16ft fully solar-powered welfare unit. This unit featured a canteen for meal breaks, two toilets to ensure proper hygiene and a well-equipped space to support the team’s day-to-day needs. By utilising solar energy, the unit eliminated fuel costs while reducing carbon emissions, aligning perfectly with their environmental priorities.
