Introduction
Optimus Access specialises in providing high-quality access solutions with a strong focus on sustainability. To support its on-site teams, the company sought an eco-friendly welfare solution that aligned with its environmental goals.

The Requirement
Optimus Access required welfare facilities that provided essential amenities while minimising environmental impact. Traditional diesel-powered units did not align with its sustainability commitments, prompting the need for a cleaner and more efficient alternative.
The Solution
Partnering with ecowelfare, Optimus Access implemented a fully solar-powered 12ft welfare unit, featuring a canteen, a toilet and a dry room. This innovative unit provided a practical, self-sufficient and environmentally friendly workspace, significantly reducing fuel consumption and emissions.
The Conclusion
- Zero fuel costs – Fully solar-powered, eliminating reliance on diesel.
- Over 94 litres of fuel saved – Reducing operational expenses and environmental impact.
- More than 299kg of CO2 emissions avoided – Supporting Optimus Access’ sustainability initiatives.
- Improved workforce welfare – Providing comfortable and well-equipped spaces for on-site teams.
