Introduction
London Building Procurement Limited (LBPL) has been a leader in successful project development since 2011, specialising in new builds, refurbishments and fit-out projects. Their commitment to innovation and sustainability drives them to seek efficient and environmentally friendly solutions for their construction sites.
The Requirement
Ensuring high-quality on-site welfare facilities while maintaining a strong commitment to sustainability was a key priority for LBPL. They required a welfare solution that would provide comfort for their workforce while reducing operational costs and minimising environmental impact.
The Solution
LBPL partnered with ecowelfare to introduce a fully solar-powered 12ft welfare unit, equipped with a canteen, one toilet and one dry room. This unit provided a designated space for workers to take breaks, store equipment and access sanitation facilities. By eliminating reliance on diesel generators, LBPL successfully lowered emissions while maintaining optimal working conditions.
The Conclusion
- Zero fuel costs – Fully solar-powered, eliminating reliance on diesel.
- Over 76 litres of fuel saved – Reducing operational expenses and environmental impact.
- More than 243kg of CO2 emissions avoided – Supporting LBPL’s sustainability initiatives.
- Improved workforce welfare – Providing a well-equipped, comfortable space for site teams.
