Introduction
Agripower is a leading specialist in sports pitch construction, delivering high-quality, sustainable solutions for natural and synthetic playing surfaces across the UK. With a strong focus on innovation and environmental responsibility, they provide tailored services for schools, local authorities and professional sports clubs.Â

The Requirement
Agripower often operates in rural and remote locations where access to traditional welfare facilities is limited. Ensuring the wellbeing of their workforce while maintaining their commitment to sustainability was a priority. Traditional welfare units relying on diesel generators contradicted their eco-conscious approach, leading them to seek a greener alternative.Â
The Solution
Agripower partnered with ecowelfare to introduce fully solar-powered welfare units on their project sites. The 12ft toilet/drying room combination unit provided a comfortable rest area for workers while eliminating the need for fossil fuel-powered welfare solutions. The inclusion of a canteen and drying room helped maintain efficiency on-site, ensuring workers had access to essential facilities in any weather conditions.Â
The Conclusion
- Zero fuel costs – Fully solar-powered operation, eliminating the need for diesel.Â
- Over 325 litres of fuel saved – Reducing operational costs and environmental impact.Â
- Over a tonne of CO2 emissions avoided – Supporting Agripower’s sustainability commitments.Â
- Enhanced workforce wellbeing – Providing essential on-site welfare facilities in remote locations.Â
