The Requirement
Ensuring the wellbeing of on-site teams was a key priority for Miles Macadam. They needed a reliable, eco-friendly welfare solution that would provide essential facilities while aligning with their sustainability objectives. The goal was to enhance site welfare without increasing carbon emissions or fuel costs.
The Solution
Miles Macadam partnered with ecowelfare to implement three fully solar-powered 12ft welfare units, each equipped with a canteen, one toilet and a dry room. These units provided workers with a comfortable and functional space while eliminating the need for fossil fuels. By opting for renewable energy solutions, the company successfully reduced its environmental impact while maintaining high welfare standards for its teams.
The Conclusion
- Zero fuel costs – Fully solar-powered, eliminating reliance on diesel.
- Over 556 litres of fuel saved – Reducing operational expenses and environmental impact.
- More than 1.7 tonnes of CO2 emissions avoided – Supporting Miles Macadam’s commitment to sustainability.
- Improved workforce welfare – Providing a comfortable and well-equipped space for site teams.
