Emergency Toilet Hire And More This Week!

Emergency Toilet Hire and More

From charity events to life saving action at a fire, we’ve had it all this past week. Our week began with a client contacting us regarding portable toilet hire for the Great Baddow Charity Races. You may have heard of these yourself. There were two types of race; a two-mile race and a ten-mile race. Each of the races were held with the sole intention of raising money for four different charities. The charities involved were Barrow Farm – riding for the disabled, the City of Chelmsford Mencap, League of Friends of Hargrave House and last but not least, the Chelmsford Mildmay Charity Trust Fund. It was expected to be a hugely popular event and they certainly weren’t wrong which is why they were only too happy that they hired 11 portable toilets and 2 urinal units from us.

Essex County Council also got in touch with us this week in order to hire 10 portable toilets for the Jaywick Martello Tower. If you’ve never been there before, the Jaywick Martello Tower supports a number of creative collaborations that relate to either to community, heritage and/or environment. As always, Essex County Council were very happy with not only the toilets we delivered them but the prompt service too.

Of course, our week wouldn’t be complete without the use of our emergency portable toilet hire services. The London Fire Brigade called upon us once again this week as a result of a fire in Wapping, London. The fire took hold of a builders yard along Brodlove Lane. It required a whopping 15 fire engines and 97 firefighters to tackle it. The entire yard was damaged as a result of the fire including vehicles, building materials and multiple gas cylinders. There were also two shipping containers that contained furniture which were also damaged as a result of the sizeable fire. As well as the builder’s yard however, the fire had managed to spread even further to a block of flats adjacent from the yard. The block consisted of six floors and as the fire took hold, part of the ground and first floor were damaged. A man had to be rescued from the fifth floor and a further 12 people evacuated, however thankfully, there were no reports of any injuries at all. Fire crews worked well into the night to dampen down the few remaining small pockets of fire. At this stage however, the cause of the fire is still unknown. It’s delivering portable toilets to scenes like this that really highlight our ability when it comes to emergency toilet hire. We were able to deliver the required number of toilets within two hours of being called and as a result, made the jobs of the fire fighters a lot easier too. Our emergency toilet hire isn’t just for the emergency services either. If you’ve recently found your school or place of work suddenly without the use of any toilet facilities, then we can most certainly help.
