Introduction
Kennett Construction Services Limited is a trusted provider of construction solutions, known for delivering projects efficiently and sustainably. To ensure their workforce had access to high-quality welfare facilities, they sought an eco-friendly solution that aligned with their sustainability goals while enhancing on-site comfort.
The Requirement
Kennett Construction Services required a welfare unit that would offer essential amenities for their team while minimising their environmental footprint. Moving away from traditional diesel-powered welfare units was a priority to reduce operational costs and improve sustainability.
The Solution
To address these needs, Kennett Construction Services partnered with ecowelfare to install a 12ft fully solar-powered welfare unit. This unit provided a canteen for meal breaks, a drying room for added convenience and a toilet to ensure proper hygiene on-site. By harnessing solar energy, the unit eliminated fuel costs and significantly reduced carbon emissions while maintaining a comfortable and efficient workspace for the team.
The Conclusion

- More than 487kg of CO2 emissions avoided – Supporting Kennett Construction Services’ commitment to sustainability.
- Improved workforce welfare – Providing comfortable, well-equipped spaces tailored to site needs.
