RSK Group acquires Octavius Infrastructure

RSK Group has completed the acquisition of Octavius Infrastructure from Sullivan Street Partners.

Transaction overview

Octavius Infrastructure is a UK civil-engineering and transport-infrastructure contractor
working across rail and highways with a workforce of more than 700 people.

For the financial year ending 31 March 2025, Octavius reported turnover of
approximately £323 million, up from £277 million the previous year, and
pre-tax profit of £8.6 million, up from £4.7 million.

The business operates on more than 30 frameworks and has long-standing client
relationships that include Network Rail, National Highways and Transport for London.

Key projects highlighted

Octavius is currently involved in a range of transport-infrastructure schemes, including:

  • Refurbishment of Ryde Pier on the Isle of Wight
  • Roof works at London Waterloo Station
  • New railway stations at Okehampton and Charfield
  • The A46 Walsgrave junction upgrade
  • A new link road in Colchester
  • Completion of the A140 Long Stratton Bypass

Leadership and integration

Octavius will continue to operate under its existing brand and leadership team,
including Chief Executive Officer John Dowsett, with Managing Directors
Matt Smith (rail) and Gavin Pritchard (highways) leading their respective divisions.

In comments reported alongside the announcement, RSK noted that transport
infrastructure remains one of its strategic growth areas, and that Octavius
brings a proven track record in delivering safety-critical infrastructure projects.

Industry trend: sustainable welfare growing across infrastructure

Across the wider UK infrastructure and transport sector, there is a clear shift
towards more sustainable site welfare solutions. Contractors are increasingly
adopting solar-powered, low-emission and silent-running welfare units to help
reduce fuel use, cut emissions and support environmental targets on long-term
projects nationwide.

euroloo’s modern solar-powered ecowelfare units are
designed to support this shift, providing quiet, low-emission site welfare that
helps contractors work towards their sustainability and carbon-reduction goals
on infrastructure and transport projects across the country.

At euroloo, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. We're committed to minimising our environmental impact by reducing resource use, enhancing our services and fostering a safe, responsible workplace. Stay tuned for more updates on our progress!
