If you’ve been anywhere near any of the capital’s newspapers in the last month or so, you’d know that while London may have recently been declared as having the most costly construction costs in the UK, it would still appear that construction in London in 2016 is going full steam ahead. With further construction in London comes a greater need for sanitation and that’s exactly where euroloo come into it. Before we begin to tell you just how our portable toilet hire company can help you keep those startling London costs down, let’s first take a peek at just what’s going on in the capital in 2016.
Balfour Beatty plan a 53-storey London Docklands Tower – Balfour Beatty have now signed what’s known as a pre-construction deal with LBS Properties in order to build a 53-floor tower of residential properties near Canary Wharf. They’re now working on the logistics and procurement side of things making their plans favourite to win the £150 million contract to build the Madison Tower. Work looks set to start later this year on Madison Tower, designed by architect Make. The tower of 423 flats will boast a private club, lounge bar, gym and meeting rooms and looks set to be a huge job, so big in fact that it looks to be Balfour Beatty’s tallest job here in the UK and is scheduled for completion in late 2019.
£148 million for London cyclist and pedestrian works – more big works for London as the Mayor and Transport for London earmark £148 million for key pedestrians and cycle improvements across the whole of London in 2016/2017. The project will see a host of works taking place in order to create safer roads, publics spaces and even improved walking and cycling facilities. This latest project will be looking at transforming scores of locations in and around London which means a whole host of construction sites and once again a rather large need for sanitation facilities in all four corners of London.
These are just two projects out of hundreds that look to be taking place in London and as such, we’ll continue to see construction sites popping up and around the capital throughout 2016 and beyond. As we mentioned above, London has recently been declared as the most expensive city in terms of construction and as such, we’re more than aware that a great number of companies, if not all, will be looking to reduce costs in other areas and that’s something we’re more than able to help with.
