Introduction
Thames Valley Archaeological Services (TVAS), a leading archaeological services provider, is dedicated to providing efficient and sustainable welfare solutions for its team. The company needed a solution that ensured workforce comfort while reducing environmental impact during on-site operations.
The Requirement
TVAS required a welfare unit with essential amenities such as a canteen, dry room and toilet. The challenge was to find a sustainable, fuel-efficient option that met the needs of its on-site teams while aligning with their commitment to sustainability.
The Solution
In partnership with ecowelfare, TVAS introduced a solar-powered welfare unit to its operations. The 12ft unit was equipped with a canteen, a dry room and a toilet, offering a self-sufficient workspace that eliminated the need for diesel-powered systems, thereby significantly reducing fuel consumption and operational costs.
The Conclusion
- Zero fuel costs – Fully solar-powered, removing the need for diesel-powered systems.
- Over 76litres of fuel saved – Reducing environmental footprint and operational expenses.
- More than 243kg of CO2 emissions avoided – Supporting TVAS’s sustainability objectives.
- Enhanced workforce welfare – Providing a modern, well-equipped facility for the on-site team.
