Have A Safe Bonfire Night From Portable Toilet Hire Specialists, euroloo

With Halloween in sight, it can mean only one thing and we’re not talking about Trick or Treating. If you’re not sure what it is we’re talking about then perhaps this might jog your memory…remember remember…we’re sure you can finish off the rest! As ever, euroloo have been super busy taking orders for portable toilet hire for a number of events in London, Essex and other surrounding counties. The coming week ahead will see us providing portable toilet hire for a number of events including bonfire and fireworks nights.

Although our expertise may lie on the side of portable toilet hire, we’re not adverse to offering our customers and avid followers a little advice every now and then. This is especially the case when it comes to something that’s potentially very dangerous. Here’s a little info on not only the law surrounding fireworks, but some safety aspects too. We’re hoping this will ensure that absolutely everyone can enjoy the 5th November to the max.

Fireworks – did you know that it’s actually an offence for anyone under 18 to be in possession of fireworks in public places? It’s also an offence for anyone that isn’t a firework professional to possess professional display fireworks too and as a result, the police now have the power to issue fixed penalties to those caught in violation of such laws. For those holding events or even their own private fireworks parties, you should also be aware that it’s illegal to set any fireworks off between the hours of 11pm and 7am. The only exception to this rule is on that all-important day itself (5th November) when firework displays may continue until midnight. On New Years Eve, Diwali and Chinese New Year, displays can continue until the wee hour of 1am.

When purchasing fireworks for your party or event, it’s essential that you purchase fireworks stamped with the British Standard Kitemark BS7114. They should remain in a closed box at all times with instructions followed to the word. All fireworks should be lit at arms length using a taper, ensuring you stand as far back as possible. If you’ve lit the firework and it fails to go off then under no circumstances should you go back to it. It could have the potential to explode at any point. If you’re considering the use of sparklers then be advised they may only be used by children aged five and above. Once finished, the sparklers can remain hot and as a result should be placed in a bucket of water. Last but not least, keep those pets indoors guys.

If you’re considering building a bonfire then make sure to keep it well clear of buildings, garden sheds, fences and hedges and under no circumstances should you use flammable liquids. Never leave the bonfire unattended at any point, ensuring there is always an adult to supervise it until it’s burnt out or dampened down fully. For optimum safety, keep a hosepipe nearby in case the bonfire begins to burn out of control.

euroloo supply portable toilet hire to a number of events throughout the year, up and down the country and as a result, have gained a lot of expert knowledge when it comes to rules and regulations for holding public events. If you’d like more information then please don’t hesitate to contact us. We’re only too happy to help.
