euroloo sponsored Jake Ball fights tonight

Tonight its Fight Night and marks the big day for Jake Ball as he steps into the ring against Richard Horton. With his fight scheduled at 16:20, euroloo will be arriving in plenty of time to watch our fighter take home the victory. The question on everyone’s lips at the moment however is, “Why is Richard Horton fighting?”

If you’re new to boxing, then you could easily misconstrue this question as sarcasm, perhaps a jibe at the man our sponsored fighter will be going up against but that couldn’t be further from the truth. The reason we ask is down to a promise Romford’s Richard Horton made to himself before his last fight. As highlighted in an article in the Harlow Star, some time before his attempt to take the Southern Area Super Middleweight title in October, then 33 year old Horton had this to say, “I’m going to be 34 in November, so I know this is my last shot and if the fight doesn’t go my way I will walk away and enjoy family life.”

As you may well know, the fight didn’t go Horton’s way and as such, we were waiting for him to hang up his gloves. As you can see now however, that hasn’t been the case and now our sponsored fighter, Jake Ball will be going head to head with him tonight. Does Richard see this as his last shot? If so, should Jake be worried. We think not!

Especially not when you take a look at the hard work Jake has been putting into his training leading up to this fight and the huge backing he has had, and will have, on the night itself. Jake is lucky enough to have the support of not just euroloo behind him but Pukka Print Gifts, Bang and Awesome Sportswear, QAC, The Meat Man, Boxing Guru Ltd, Boxing UK, RADS Box Storage and last but by no means least JFB Promotions.

Since sparring with James DeGale, Jake’s learnt a lot, “It’s a bit of everything. In the amateurs, you’re obviously bouncing around and always on your toes. Sparring James DeGale, I learnt that even when you’re holding your feet, you can move your head and waist and be a hard target to hit. James is unbelievable at that – he’s so hard to pin down and catch with clean shots. I learned a lot from him.”

With his new moves and fighting technique behind him, as well as a huge amount of support from sponsors and spectators alike, we cannot wait to see it all take place in the arena where he made his professional debut. Could a return to his first big stage, where he was successful we might add, be something of an omen for this upcoming fight? We certainly think so. Come on Jake!! euroloo can’t wait to see you win!

With thanks to JFB Promotions – Management & Media Promotions for Jake Ball and others.
