Its fight day for Tyson Fury live on SkyTV

Tyson Fury, a force to be reckoned with most certainly, is about to take part in the fight of his life tonight against Wladimir Klitschko. Klitschko, 39, will be defending his WBA, IBF and WBO belts against Fury, 27, and what a fight it looks to be. With Fury citing himself as Klitschko’s “worst nightmare”, we really can’t wait to see the big guy in action.

Tyson Luke Fury was born August 12th 1988 and at just 27 years old is a whopping 12 years younger than Klitschko. At the very beginning of his fighting career, Fury was denied the right to fight for Ireland and the Olympics, having to trace his family history back to Belfast in order to be given permission to represent both England and Ireland as an amateur, and represent he did. After winning the ABA championship 2008, he turned professional and as yet remains undefeated. His titles have so far included British and English Champion, a former European, Commonwealth and Irish heavyweight champion as well as a former WBO Inter-Continental champion. As it stands he’s the current WBO International heavyweight champion.

Saturday night’s heavyweight world title showdown will take place in Dusseldorf at the Esprit Arena, with a huge 50,000 capacity. Today’s weigh in presented Klitschko at 17st 7lb and Fury at 17st 8lb. When asked about the fight ahead, Fury had this to say, “”If you asked 10 boxers to build their nightmare opponent, you’d end up with Tyson Fury. I’m everybody’s nightmare opponent – tall, rangy, a counter-puncher, can switch from orthodox to southpaw. You can’t achieve more than Wlad’s already achieved. To come back from three knockout defeats and reign for nine years, you’ve got to admire him. But every dog has its day and it’s got to come to an end at some point.”

Klitschko, having won 64 of his 67 professional fights has yet to be beaten since 2004 but Fury still refuses to fall under the Ukrainian’s spell. In spite of the fact that Klitschko (and his heavyweight champion brother Vitali) are renowned for making life difficult for opponents during the run up to the fight, Fury has yet to succumb to any such mind games. One widely known example was Vitali storming into his opponent’s dressing room and demanding he be re-bandaged. Fury has insisted on his indifference to any such nonsense, claiming he’d happily be re-bandaged 15 times or more if that’s what they want, “it’s not a problem” he said.

At the weigh in itself, held in Essen city, Fury initially refused to shake hands however after 60 seconds of long, cold hard staring, they both gave in and took part in a sporting, if a little forced, hand shake. Fury actually weighed in a whole stone lighter than he has been for previous fights such as his last against Christian Hammer and is probably the lightest he’s ever been. Despite the difference in weight, Fury was pretty happy, claiming he felt “fantastic and strong”.

One things for sure, this fight will be one of young versus old and speed verses speed, which can only amount to one powerfully explosive fight. We can’t wait to see it. Come on Fury!!! All the team at euroloo are supporting you and backing you heavily to pull off the win in spectacular style and be crowned the New Heavyweight Champion of the World.
